Knowledge of potential...

This is a true story... wait -wait I will not call it a story but a common scene (That is what I feel... Please comment if someone feel otherwise...). Not only that if you hear me I will say this has a potential to become a great case study.  And will be read by all the youngster [may be as part of their Academic syllabus :)] and they will find the lead (Sam) in themselves.

Actually this is very close to my life (Just one part of it), but I might not have felt the agony, referred in if I had not seen this playing in front of my eyes. And it became possible only after I started living with the Guy. You can call him Sam... Not the same Uncle SAM though...

People (I am also included here... may be just I) say that Sam has the ambition to do something great in his life... But not sure what and how... Whenever he sees anything new he jumps into it but only to know in a while that, this is not exactly what he was looking for... But he enjoys the thing for some time and then goes back to the search...

He (Sam) always felt that whatever he is doing now (he used to think the same when he was in school, college, playground... I mean everywhere), he is under utilized/underachieved and with the talent he has he could have done (achieved basically...) much more (what is more?)...

But the thing is what he might have done and how? This is still not known to him.

At times motivated by some event/news, He decides that let us do this and he gets in touch with few people who has done something in similar lines, But Suddenly he finds himself not satisfied imagine himself doing those thing. And he think after doing the entire hack that will take him there if he does not perishes his achievements why shall he go in that direction. Eventually he no longer find that motivating anymore... And his search continues...

At times he feels he should be doing something artistic but see god is not fare with him here... As he does not have even a bit of art in him from any direction... Even then he tried his hands in few, but as you know and as someone has rightly said Artists are born and polished but not made. So he did not go any far here either...

Sam has one habit (he also do not know if it is good or bad) that he gives his ultimate percentage to whatever he does even he does not enjoy it, Because he feels that If he does not like he should quite but if he is there then he should not affect others around him because of his things...  And he has seen this affecting his personal aspect but he never lets this change... Not yet... But you never know about future... As people become more and more selfish as they grow up... (Personally I have experienced this in recent times... I wish I am wrong... and judgmental seeing few such profile... but this is how I feel/think now... until something changes this thought... which I will welcome with my extended arms)

Coming back to his strange behavior of deciding to do something and then suddenly seeing himself not suitable/satisfied by that in future and searching for something else. He got some clarity on this and probable reason for such behavior when he recently came across the an incident...

He saw a beggar on the pavement of one of busiest cities on the earth; he was playing some musical instrument which looked like guitar... And I must tell you he (the beggar) was playing it as beautiful as anyone can, and it is not only my personal judgment but it was evident due to the fact that, anyone who was passing by could hardly resist himself from stopping there and listening to his tune. He got little eager and thought of asking the beggar why he does not try his hand in something rather than begging. He managed to do that but he was surprised hearing beggars reply The beggar said “Sitting Here the amount of money I collect is sufficient for me to comfortably spend my life and look; I do not have anything to worry about no competition, no worries of being failing or left behind, Also I have tuned my expectation in that way, so why shall I get in to some rat race again and as I am Comfortable here.”

These last few words got stuck in to his mind, he was forced to think that is this the reason he changes his mind every time. Is like that beggar he has also gone in to the comfort zone? Probably yes, probably no but he kept on doing what he does well left things on time as per him one can take better decision tomorrow if he is not ready for it today.. So wait and devote yourself in something you have in your hand... and continue...

By the time you might have started finding some traits of yours somewhere or other which are matching Sam’s. It is no different than my experience after spending sometime with Sam. And I can say (again my personal opinion) nothing wrong in that because though Sam has not lived up to his potential (fewer people in the world does that) but he did well whatever he did with honesty. And this is the reason that the people like Sam are always wanted in the denomination they live in.

I am not sure until when I was writing this that whether it is good or not for Sam to break this barrier of comfort and move ahead or they should be happy with the fact that they are wanted where they are today and shall go along. Because life is not about achieving something but it is about living the journey to the fullest and in course being happy with whatever you achieve. As Katrina Kaif said in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara “Seize the Day my friend”

I am sure everyone of you specially boys will definitely follow the great words from Miss. Katrina Kaif and should try to seize each and everyday of their life...
